Automobile Insurance

The Following is a brief explanation of the automobile insurance, that does make up your New Brunswick Automobile Insurance Policy.
Policy Section A - Third Party Liability
This provides for legal responsibility to others, arising from an automobile accident causing death or injury to persons or damage to their property.
Direct Compensation - Property Damage
This provides coverage in New Brunswick, under certain conditions, for damage to your automobile and to property it is carrying, when another motorist is responsible. It is called Direct Compensation because you will collect from your insurer, even though you are not at fault for the accident. There may be a deductible amount, and this amount is either paid by you toward the cost of repairs or is deducted from the loss settlement. Higher deductibles may reduce your premium.
Policy Section B - Accident Benefits
Payments For Death Or Bodily Injury - This provides coverage to the person insured, his / her immediate family and certain other persons injured or killed in an automobile accident. Payments are made regardless of who is to blame for the accident.
Policy Section C - Loss Of Or Damage To Insured Automobile
This section of the policy provides a selection of coverage's for your own automobile. There is usually a deductible amount indicated for each coverage and this amount is either paid by the policyholder toward the cost of repairs or is deducted from the loss settlement.
ALL PEILS: Subsection 1 - Combines the Collision and Comprehensive coverage.
COLLISION OR UPSET: Subsection 2 - Covers damage caused by Collision with another car, another object or by upset.
COMPREHENSIVE: Subsection 3 - Covers the automobile against loss or damage caused by certain other than by Collision or Upset. The coverage is not confined to specific hazards and is therefore broader in scope than the alternative coverage - Specified Perils
